Possible Causes
Pressure sensor not detecting pressure, Faulty bottom temperature sensor, Control board logic error, Leaking lid preventing pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use caution around hot steam. Unplug the cooker if troubleshooting while hot.
- Check for pressure: Observe whether the float valve rises and steam stops venting. If not, see pressure leak troubleshooting.
- Run water test: With 2–3 cups of water, run a Pressure Cook cycle. If the timer never starts counting down even after the float rises, the pressure sensor may be faulty.
- Inspect sealing components: Ensure the sealing ring, float valve, and steam release valve are clean and properly installed.
- Sensor/board diagnosis (advanced): If sealing is good, a technician should test the pressure sensor assembly and bottom temperature sensor and replace as needed. Persistent issues may require a new main control board.
