Display shows C2 and cooker will not start or aborts cooking.

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool fully. Do not touch the heating plate until it is at room temperature.

• Check for dry heating: Confirm that you always use the cooker with the inner pot in place and with sufficient liquid. Running the unit empty or with very little liquid can cause overheat and trigger C2.
• Inspect underside of inner pot: Make sure the bottom of the stainless-steel pot is flat and clean. A warped or heavily scorched pot can cause hot spots and sensor overheat.
• Clean heating plate: With the unit unplugged, wipe the heating plate and surrounding area with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Remove any burnt-on food that could cause localized overheating. Dry thoroughly.
• Inspect sensor wiring: If comfortable opening the bottom cover (and warranty has expired), inspect the thermistor wires for melted insulation or bare spots touching the metal chassis. Repair or replace the thermistor assembly if insulation is damaged.
• Test after cooling: After cleaning and inspection, reassemble, plug in, and run a water test (2–3 cups of water, Pressure Cook for 5 minutes). If C2 returns immediately, the sensor is likely shorted and should be replaced. If a new sensor does not resolve it, the main control board may be defective.
