Possible Causes

Defective bottom temperature sensor, Faulty heating element causing localized overheating, Loose sensor connector on control board, Failed main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool fully.

  • Basic reset: After cooling, unplug for 10–15 minutes, then plug back in and run a water test (2–3 cups water, Pressure Cook 5 minutes). If C6 appears immediately, suspect a hardware fault.
  • Inspect heating plate and sensor: Remove the inner pot and visually inspect the heating plate and center sensor area for discoloration, cracks, or burn marks. Severe discoloration can indicate overheating.
  • Check for obstructions: Ensure nothing is wedged between the heating plate and cooker body that could distort the plate or sensor.
  • Internal inspection (advanced): With the bottom cover removed (only if you are qualified and warranty has expired), check the resistance of the heating element and thermistor with a multimeter. Compare to service specs if available. Look for loose connectors on the main control board.
  • Replace faulty components: Replace the bottom temperature sensor if readings are out of range. If the heating element is open or shorted, replace the heating element assembly. Persistent C6 after these repairs points to a defective main control board.
