Possible Causes
Open heating element, Burned or disconnected heater wiring, Failed triac or relay on main control board, Loose heater connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before any inspection.
- Confirm symptom: Start a Saute or Pressure Cook program with water. If the pot does not warm up at all and C7 appears, the heating circuit is likely open.
- Check power cord and outlet: Verify the outlet has power and the cord is fully seated in the cooker and wall. Try another outlet to rule out supply issues.
- Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the bottom cover (if you are qualified and warranty has expired). Inspect the two heavy-gauge wires going to the heating element ring under the pot. Look for burned connectors or broken wires.
- Test heating element: Use a multimeter to measure resistance across the heating element terminals. An infinite reading indicates an open element that must be replaced.
- Check board connections: Ensure the heater connectors on the main control board are firmly seated. If the element tests good but C7 persists, the main control board (heater driver/triac) is likely faulty.
