Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed, Misaligned lid locking pin, Faulty lid position switch or magnet sensor, Damaged lid hinge mechanism
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged while inspecting mechanical parts.
- Check lid closure: Verify the lid is aligned with the mark on the cooker base and turned fully to the closed/lock position until it stops.
- Inspect lid locking pin: Look at the metal or plastic locking pin on the lid and the corresponding slot on the cooker body. Clean any food residue that may prevent full engagement.
- Test lid switch: Gently open and close the lid while watching the display. If the 'Lid' message does not change, the lid switch or magnetic sensor may be faulty.
- Clean around switch area: Wipe the rim and top of the cooker body where the lid engages. Dried food can prevent the lid from seating properly.
- Component replacement: If the lid is mechanically closing but the cooker still reports 'Lid', replace the lid switch assembly or lid sensor/magnet assembly depending on model design.
