Display shows 'Lid Open' and pressure program will not start.

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged when inspecting the lid mechanism.

• Verify lid orientation: Align the lid with the 'Open/Close' marks and rotate firmly to the closed position until it stops.
• Inspect lid tabs and rim: Check for bent or damaged locking tabs on the lid and for debris on the cooker rim that could prevent full closure.
• Check lid sensor magnet: Some models use a magnet in the lid and a reed switch in the body. Ensure the magnet is still present and not loose.
• Replace faulty parts: If the lid closes mechanically but the cooker still shows 'Lid Open', replace the lid sensor/magnet assembly or lid switch assembly.
