Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid, Sealing ring not installed or damaged, Steam release valve left in Venting position, Leaking float valve or lid gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use caution when handling hot steam. Unplug the cooker if troubleshooting while hot.
- Check steam release position: Ensure the steam release handle or switch is set to Sealing, not Venting.
- Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid. Check for cracks, deformation, or food buildup. Clean thoroughly and reinstall, ensuring it is fully seated in the groove. Replace if stretched or damaged.
- Check float valve: Ensure the float valve moves freely up and down and that its silicone cap is intact and properly installed.
- Verify liquid amount: Confirm you are using at least the minimum required liquid (typically 1–1.5 cups). Very thick mixtures may not generate enough steam.
- Run a water test: With 2–3 cups of water, run a Pressure Cook cycle. If 'noPr' still appears, inspect the lid for warping or damage and replace the sealing ring or lid assembly as needed.
