How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to depressurize.
- Clean and reseat sealing components: Remove, clean, and reinstall the sealing ring, steam release cap, and float valve. Replace the sealing ring if worn.
- Deglaze inner pot: Remove burnt food and clean the pot thoroughly.
- Increase liquid and reduce thickness: Add more thin liquid and avoid very thick mixtures until after pressure cooking.
- Run a water test: Verify that the cooker can reach and hold pressure with only water. If it cannot, inspect the sealing ring and lid assembly for damage.
