• Clean heating plate: Wipe away any food, rice, or debris. Ensure the plate surface is smooth and clean.
• Check inner pot bottom: Place the pot on a flat countertop and see if it rocks. Replace the pot if it is warped.
• Inspect heating plate for deformation: If the plate is visibly bowed or dented, internal supports may be damaged and the heating plate/heating element assembly may need replacement.
• Re-seat pot: Reinstall the pot, rotating slightly to ensure full contact, then test with water.
