Possible Causes

Sealing ring not installed correctly, Sealing ring stretched or cracked, Debris on lid or pot rim, Warped lid or inner pot rim

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Unplug the cooker if leakage is severe.

  • Stop and depressurize: Cancel the program and allow pressure to release naturally or via the steam release valve once safe.
  • Inspect sealing ring: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid. Check for cracks, hardening, or deformation. Clean it with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry. Replace if any damage is found.
  • Clean lid and rim: Wipe the lid sealing surface and the top rim of the stainless-steel inner pot to remove food or grease.
  • Reinstall ring correctly: Ensure the sealing ring is fully seated in the lid groove all the way around.
  • Test with water: Run a short water-only pressure test. If steam still leaks around the lid, replace the sealing ring and inspect the lid assembly and inner pot for warping.
