Possible Causes
Leaking lid gasket, Misaligned or damaged float valve, Faulty pressure sensor, Loose pressure sensor connector on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is cool before handling the lid components.
- Inspect lid gasket: Remove the silicone sealing ring from the lid. Check for cracks, deformation, or food residue. Wash thoroughly and reinstall, ensuring it is seated evenly in the groove.
- Check float valve: Make sure the float valve moves freely up and down. Clean any dried food around it and verify the silicone cap is intact and flexible.
- Verify steam release position: Ensure the steam release handle is set to the Sealing position for pressure cooking.
- Test with water: Add 2–3 cups of water and run a short pressure cycle. If the unit never reaches pressure and E6 appears, suspect a sensor or electronics issue.
- Inspect sensor wiring (advanced): With the unit unplugged, access the lid or body area where the pressure sensor is mounted. Check that the sensor connector is firmly attached to the main PCB and that wires are not damaged.
If E6 persists after gasket and valve checks, the pressure sensor assembly likely needs replacement.
