E7 error appears and cooker will not start or stops mid-cycle, often associated with lid or pressure issues.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting the lid lock. Do not force the lid open if the cooker is still under pressure.

• Check lid lock movement: With the cooker unplugged and depressurized, open and close the lid while observing the lock mechanism (if visible). It should move smoothly without sticking.
• Clean around the lock: Use a soft brush or cloth to remove food particles or dried sauce around the lock slot and latch.
• Listen for lock engagement: Plug in the cooker, select a pressure program, and listen for a click from the lid lock when starting. No click may indicate a failed solenoid or control signal.
• Inspect wiring (advanced): Remove the top cover to access the lid lock assembly. Check for loose connectors, broken wires, or corrosion. Reseat connectors firmly.

If cleaning and reseating connectors do not resolve E7, the lid lock assembly should be replaced to maintain safe operation.
