Possible Causes
Inner pot still very hot from previous cycle, Overheated heating plate, Faulty temperature sensor reading high
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use oven mitts when handling a hot inner pot. Steam can cause burns.
- Allow cooling time: Remove the inner pot carefully and place it on a heat-safe surface. Leave the lid open and allow the cooker base to cool for 20–30 minutes.
- Check for scorching: If food is burnt on the bottom, clean the pot and heating plate thoroughly to prevent continued overheating.
- Restart with water: After cooling, place a clean pot with room-temperature water in the cooker and start a low-heat program. If 'HOT' appears immediately, the temperature sensor may be faulty.
If the unit always shows 'HOT' even when cold, the NTC temperature sensor or control board likely needs replacement.
