Steam leaks continuously from the steam release valve during pressure cooking, and pressure never builds fully.

Possible Causes
Steam release handle left in Venting position, Worn or dirty valve seal, Damaged valve spring, Misaligned valve assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not touch the valve while hot. Unplug and wait until pressure is fully released before disassembly.
- Check valve position: Ensure the steam release handle is turned to Sealing for pressure cooking.
- Clean valve: Remove the valve cap/handle and wash it with warm soapy water. Clear any food particles from the vent path.
- Inspect seal and spring: Check the silicone or rubber seal and internal spring (if accessible) for wear or deformation. Replace if damaged.
- Reassemble correctly: Install the valve according to the manual, ensuring it seats properly.
If steam still leaks heavily, replace the steam release valve assembly.
