Possible Causes

Shorted NTC sensor, Moisture ingress into sensor housing, Sensor wires shorted together, Sensor connector shorted on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect from mains and let the unit cool fully.

  • Dry the cooker: If E2 appeared after a spill or steam overflow, remove the inner pot, wipe all visible moisture, and leave the lid open for several hours to dry.
  • Inspect sensor area: Remove the inner pot and look at the center of the heater plate where the sensor is located. Check for liquid or burnt residue around the sensor boss.
  • Base access: Remove the bottom cover. Follow the sensor wires from the heater plate to the control board. Look for crushed insulation or bare wires touching the chassis or each other.
  • Connector check: Unplug and re-seat the sensor connector on the PCB. Ensure no food or corrosion is bridging the pins.

If drying and reseating connectors do not clear E2, the sensor is likely shorted internally and must be replaced.
