Stuck Float Valve / Residual Pressure Lock
Lid will not open after cooking; float valve appears to be stuck in the up position even after cooling.

Possible Causes
Food residue around float valve, Deformed float valve silicone seal, Internal pressure not fully released, Warped lid components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not force the lid open. Forcing can cause sudden steam release and burns.
- Check for steam: Gently move the steam release valve to the venting position (if applicable). If steam escapes, wait until it stops completely.
- Tap the lid: Using a wooden spoon, gently tap around the float valve area to help it drop.
- Cool the cooker: Unplug and allow the unit to cool for at least 30–45 minutes. Cooling reduces internal pressure.
- After opening: Once open, remove and clean the float valve and its silicone seal thoroughly. Replace the seal if swollen or hardened.
If the float valve repeatedly sticks, replace the float valve and seal set.
