Possible Causes

Blown internal fuse on control board, Faulty mains power cord, Failed control PCB power supply, Loose mains connector inside base

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug from mains before opening. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage, seek professional service.

  • Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Avoid using extension leads or multi-plugs.
  • Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Gently wiggle the cord at the entry point while plugged in (unit off) to see if the display flickers (if it does, the cord or connector is faulty).
  • Internal fuse check (advanced): Remove the bottom cover. Locate the small glass or ceramic fuse on the control PCB. If visibly blown, it must be replaced with the exact same rating. A blown fuse often indicates another fault (e.g. shorted component).
  • Connector check: Ensure the mains input connector is firmly seated on the PCB and that no wires are loose.

If the fuse blows again immediately or no obvious damage is found, the control board power supply is likely faulty and should be replaced.
