Possible Causes
Defective lid lock solenoid, Jammed lock mechanism, Misaligned lid lock sensor, Broken lid lock wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit. Never force the lid open if the cooker may still be under pressure.
- Check lid lock movement: With the unit unplugged and depressurized, open and close the lid while watching the lock pin (if visible). It should move freely. Clean any food residue around the lock slot.
- Inspect lid ring and gasket: Remove the silicone gasket and clean the lid ring. Reinstall the gasket evenly to ensure the lid can fully close and engage the lock.
- Listen for lock actuation: Plug in the unit, select a pressure program, and press Start. You should hear a faint click from the lock solenoid. If there is no sound and E7 appears, the lock or its wiring may be faulty.
- Check wiring (advanced): If you can access the top cover, verify that the lid lock connector is secure and that no wires are broken at the hinge area.
- When to call a technician: Lid lock assemblies are safety-critical. If cleaning and reseating the gasket do not resolve E7, have the lock assembly professionally replaced.
