Display shows VENT or a venting icon and the cooker will not build pressure.

Safety first: Keep hands and face away from the steam vent when adjusting the valve.

• Set valve to Seal: Rotate or flip the steam release valve to the Sealing position as indicated on the lid.
• Inspect vent cap: Ensure the vent cap is installed correctly and not cracked or missing. Replace if damaged.
• Clean vent path: Remove the vent cap (if removable) and clean any food particles or starch buildup. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
• Check for lid warping: If the lid is warped or dented near the vent, it may not seal properly and should be inspected by a technician.
