Lid Stuck / Lock Not Releasing
Lid will not open after cooking; it feels locked even though the program is finished.

Possible Causes
Residual pressure in pot, Float valve stuck in up position, Lid lock mechanism jammed, Warped lid or misaligned lock pin
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Never force the lid open. Forcing can cause sudden release of hot steam and food.
- Check pressure indicator: Ensure the float valve or pressure indicator has dropped fully. If not, there is still pressure inside.
- Release remaining steam: Carefully move the steam release valve to Venting, keeping hands and face away. Wait until all steam stops and the float drops.
- Gently tap float valve: If the float seems stuck, use a utensil handle to gently tap it from the side to help it drop.
- Allow cooling time: If the lid remains stuck, unplug the cooker and allow it to cool for 30–60 minutes, then try again.
- When to call a technician: If the lock mechanism is mechanically jammed or damaged, the lid lock assembly should be serviced or replaced.
