Possible Causes
Damaged or dirty silicone gasket, Steam release valve not sealing, Debris on lid rim, Worn float valve seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep hands and face away from escaping steam. Turn off and release pressure before opening the lid.
- Inspect and clean gasket: Remove the silicone gasket, wash it thoroughly, and check for cracks or stretching. Replace if worn.
- Clean lid rim and body rim: Wipe both surfaces to remove food residue or oil that can prevent sealing.
- Check steam release valve: Ensure the valve is in the Sealing position and that its silicone cap (if present) is intact and flexible.
- Inspect float valve: Remove and clean the float valve and its silicone seal. Ensure it moves freely and reseats properly.
- Test with water only: Run a short pressure cycle with water to confirm that the leak is resolved.
