Possible Causes
Loose steam release valve, Anti-block shield vibrating, Gasket not seated evenly, Excessive steam flow through vent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not touch the lid or vent while the cooker is under pressure.
- Observe from a distance: Some light rattling of the valve can be normal as pressure regulates. Loud or continuous rattling is not.
- After cooling, inspect valve: Remove the steam release valve and clean it. Ensure it seats firmly when reinstalled.
- Check anti-block shield: Make sure the shield under the lid is clipped in securely and not loose.
- Reseat gasket: Remove and reinstall the gasket to ensure even pressure around the lid.
