Multicooker heats but never reaches pressure; steam constantly escapes from the lid.

Safety first: Keep hands away from escaping steam. Unplug and allow to cool before disassembly.

• Check valve position: Ensure the steam release valve is set to the sealing position.
• Inspect and clean gasket: Remove the silicone ring, wash with warm soapy water, and inspect for cracks or flattening. Replace if not pliable.
• Clean lid rim and pot rim: Wipe both surfaces to remove oil and food residue that can prevent sealing.
• Do a water test: Add 2–3 cups of water and run a short pressure cycle. If steam still leaks around the lid, install a new Lagostina sealing ring.

Persistent leakage after gasket replacement may indicate a warped lid or body that requires professional assessment.
