Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in inner pot, Excessive evaporation, Inner pot not seated, Faulty moisture/boil-dry sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Open the lid carefully away from your face to avoid steam burns.
- Check liquid level: Ensure there is enough water or cooking liquid according to the recipe and Lakeland manual. Add more liquid if necessary.
- Stir contents: Thick sauces or starches can stick to the bottom and trigger dry-cook protection. Stir the food to redistribute moisture.
- Reseat inner pot: Remove and reinsert the inner pot to ensure full contact with the heating plate.
- Restart program: After correcting the liquid level, restart the cooking program and monitor for recurrence.
- When to replace: If 'H2O' appears even with adequate liquid and normal use, the boil-dry sensor or temperature sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
