Display shows 'POT' or a pot icon; cooker will not start.

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged before reaching inside the housing.

• Check inner pot: Confirm that the Lakeland inner pot is correctly inserted. Third-party or non-standard pots may not be detected properly.
• Remove debris: Take out the inner pot and inspect the heating plate and central sensor area for crumbs, foil, or other objects. Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
• Inspect pot base: Check that the base of the inner pot is flat and not heavily warped or dented. A deformed pot may not make proper contact with the sensor.
• Re-seat pot: Place the pot back in and rotate it slightly to ensure full contact with the heating plate.
• When to replace: If the error persists with a correct pot, the pot detection switch or spring-loaded centre sensor under the heating plate may be faulty and require replacement.
