Possible Causes

Faulty pressure sensor, Loose pressure sensor connector on control PCB, Damaged silicone pressure tube between lid and sensor, Moisture ingress into pressure sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the multicooker and ensure it is completely depressurized before inspection.

Basic checks:

  • Power cycle: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect and try a non-pressure program (e.g., sauté). If E5 appears even without pressure, the sensor circuit is likely faulty.
  • Inspect pressure tube: Remove the inner lid and locate the metal pressure port. Follow the small silicone tube (if external) to the pressure sensor mounted on the control board or chassis. Check for cracks, disconnections, or blockages.
  • Check sensor connector: With the bottom or side cover removed (unplugged), locate the pressure sensor (small rectangular module with 3–4 wires). Reseat its connector on the main PCB.

Advanced:

  • If you have a multimeter and the service data, verify that the sensor receives the correct reference voltage (typically 5 V) and that the output changes slightly when you gently apply pressure to the port (do not exceed normal operating pressure).

Resolution: If the tube and wiring are intact but E5 persists, replace the pressure sensor assembly. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main control board may be defective.
