Possible Causes
Lid not fully closed, Misaligned lid hinge, Faulty lid-closed sensor, Debris preventing lid from seating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged before adjusting hinges or sensors.
Checks:
- Proper closure: Open and close the lid firmly until you hear or feel the latch click. Align any arrows or marks on the lid and body.
- Inspect gasket and rim: Remove the sealing ring and clean the lid rim and cooker body rim. Food residue can prevent full closure.
- Hinge alignment: Check that the lid is not twisted or sagging at the hinge. Tighten hinge screws if loose.
- Sensor check: Locate the lid-closed sensor (usually a small switch near the hinge or a magnet/reed sensor). Ensure the actuator on the lid lines up with the sensor when closed.
Resolution: If the lid closes properly but the 'LID' message remains, the lid sensor or its wiring may be faulty and should be replaced.
