Possible Causes

Lid not detected as closed, Faulty Start button on keypad, Child lock feature enabled, Control board input failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker before opening the control panel.

User-level checks:

  • Ensure the lid is fully closed and locked; many MasterPro models will not start unless the lid sensor is engaged.
  • Check the display for a child lock icon; disable child lock according to the user manual (often by holding a specific key for several seconds).
  • Try starting different programs to see if the issue is mode-specific.

Keypad checks:

  • If other buttons respond but Start does not, the Start key may be faulty. Remove the front panel and inspect the keypad PCB or membrane.
  • Reseat the keypad connector on the main board.

Resolution: Replace the keypad/control panel assembly if the Start button is unresponsive. If multiple keys fail or the board does not register inputs, the main control board may need replacement.
