Possible Causes

Absorbed odors in silicone sealing ring, Food residue under inner lid or in steam vent, Mold growth in lid crevices, Contaminated condensation collector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is cool before deep cleaning.

Deep cleaning steps:

  • Remove the inner pot, sealing ring, anti-block shield, and inner lid plate. Wash all removable parts in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  • Clean the condensation collector (if equipped) and the channel leading to it.
  • Wipe the inside of the lid and cooker body with a solution of water and white vinegar (1:1), then wipe with clean water and dry.

Sealing ring treatment:

  • Soak the silicone sealing ring in warm water with baking soda for 1–2 hours to reduce odors.
  • If odors persist, replace the sealing ring; silicone can permanently absorb strong smells.
