Possible Causes

Open or disconnected inner pot temperature sensor, Damaged thermistor wiring harness, Failed main control board temperature input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Mealthy multicooker and allow it to cool completely before opening or touching internal parts.

  • Check inner pot and base: Remove the stainless steel inner pot and inspect the heating plate area. Make sure there is no burnt food, warping, or foreign object preventing proper contact.
  • Inspect sensor wiring (bottom sensor): Turn the cooker upside down on a soft surface. Remove the bottom cover screws (usually Phillips). Locate the temperature sensor/thermistor clipped to the underside of the heating plate or center post. Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped in place and the two-wire connector is fully seated on the main board.
  • Look for damage: Check the sensor wires for burns, cuts, or melted insulation. If damaged, the sensor assembly should be replaced.
  • Reseat connectors: Gently unplug and replug the thermistor connector on the control board to clear any oxidation or loose fit.
  • Test again: Reassemble the base, plug in the cooker, and run a short program with water only. If E1 persists, the thermistor or main control board is likely faulty and should be replaced.

Warning: Do not bypass or short the temperature sensor; this can cause overheating and fire risk.
