Possible Causes

Shorted bottom temperature sensor, Moisture or condensation in sensor connector, Shorted traces on main control board near sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool fully.

  • Dry the base: If the cooker was recently washed or used in a very humid environment, remove the inner pot and wipe the heating plate and surrounding area dry. Allow the unit to air dry for several hours.
  • Access the sensor: Remove the bottom cover. Locate the bottom temperature sensor on the heating plate or center post. Disconnect the sensor plug from the control board.
  • Check for moisture and corrosion: Inspect the connector pins and surrounding PCB for moisture, corrosion, or residue. Clean gently with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush, then let dry completely.
  • Inspect sensor wiring: Look for pinched or melted insulation that could cause a short. If found, replace the sensor assembly.
  • Reassemble and test: Reconnect the sensor, reattach the bottom cover, and test with water only. If E2 returns immediately, the sensor or control board is likely defective and should be replaced.

Warning: Do not operate the cooker with the base cover removed or with any sensor disconnected.
