Overheat Protection / Dry Pot Detection
E3 appears during preheat or pressure build, cooker stops heating.

Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in inner pot, Food stuck and burning on heating plate area, Warped or deformed inner pot causing poor contact, Faulty overheat sensor calibration on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before opening the lid.
- Check liquid level: Open the lid and verify there is enough liquid. For pressure cooking, Mealthy multicookers typically require at least 1–1.5 cups of thin liquid. Add more if needed.
- Clean the inner pot and heating plate: Remove the inner pot. Inspect the bottom for burnt-on food or warping. Clean thoroughly. Wipe the heating plate with a soft, damp cloth (do not pour water into the base) and dry completely.
- Check pot contact: Place the empty inner pot back in and press down gently. It should sit flat and make full contact with the heating plate. If the pot rocks or is visibly warped, replace the inner pot.
- Reset and test: Plug the cooker back in, add proper liquid, and run a short test program. If E3 recurs with correct liquid and a good pot, the overheat sensor or control board may be faulty and require replacement.
Warning: Never operate the cooker without the inner pot or with very thick sauces only; this can trigger overheat and damage the unit.
