Possible Causes

Open-circuit main heating element under inner pot, Burned or loose heater wiring terminals, Failed triac or relay on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool. Do not work on the unit while it is connected to power.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the bottom cover. Locate the circular heating element under the inner pot area. Check for burnt spots, broken element ring, or discolored wiring.
  • Check wiring connections: Ensure the heater terminals are firmly attached to the element and the control board. Tighten any loose spade connectors.
  • Continuity test (for advanced users): Using a multimeter set to ohms, test the resistance across the heating element terminals (with the unit unplugged). An open reading (infinite resistance) indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
  • Inspect control board: Look for burnt components near the heater drive (triac/relay). If visible damage is present, the control board should be replaced.
  • Reassemble and test: After any corrections, reassemble the base and test with water. If E6 persists, replace the heating element or main control board as indicated by your tests.

Warning: If you are not comfortable working with mains-voltage components, contact a qualified technician.
