Possible Causes
Faulty internal power supply on control board, Loose AC input wiring, Damaged power cord, Overloaded outlet or extension cord
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before inspection.
- Check wall outlet: Plug the cooker directly into a known-good wall outlet (avoid extension cords or power strips). Ensure the outlet is not shared with high-load appliances.
- Inspect power cord: Examine the Mealthy power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks. Replace the cord if any damage is found.
- Inspect internal connections: Remove the bottom cover and verify that the AC input wires are securely fastened to the terminal block and control board. Tighten any loose screws.
- Look for board damage: Inspect the control board for burnt components in the power supply section (near where the AC enters). If damage is visible, the board should be replaced.
- Test again: Reassemble and test. If E8 recurs on a good outlet with a good cord, the internal power supply on the control board is likely failing and requires replacement.
Warning: Do not attempt to repair the control board at component level unless you are qualified; replacing the board is safer.
