Possible Causes
Food stuck to bottom of inner pot, Very thick sauce with inadequate liquid, Inner pot removed while heater is hot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Check for burning: Open the lid and inspect the bottom of the inner pot for stuck or burnt food. Remove the pot and soak it in warm soapy water, then scrub clean.
- Clean heating plate: Once cool, wipe the heating plate with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Dry thoroughly.
- Adjust recipe: When restarting, add more thin liquid and avoid thick, starchy layers directly on the bottom. Deglaze the pot by scraping up browned bits with liquid before pressure cooking.
- Allow cooldown: Let the cooker cool for 15–20 minutes before starting a new program to allow the sensor to reset.
Warning: Do not attempt to override overheat protection; it prevents damage and fire.
