Possible Causes

Insufficient water in inner pot, Very thick sauce preventing proper heat transfer, Inner pot not seated correctly on heating plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool if it is very hot.

  • Check contents: Open the lid and verify there is enough thin liquid in the inner pot. Add at least the minimum recommended amount of water or broth for pressure cooking.
  • Stir thick foods: If cooking thick sauces or stews, stir and thin with additional liquid to improve heat transfer.
  • Reseat inner pot: Remove the inner pot and check the heating plate for debris. Clean and dry, then reseat the pot so it sits flat.
  • Restart program: Plug the cooker back in and restart the desired program. If the L0 warning recurs with adequate liquid, the bottom sensor calibration may be off and the sensor or control board may need service.

Warning: Do not ignore low-liquid warnings; running dry can damage the heating element and sensors.
