Possible Causes
Warped inner pot bottom, Debris between pot and heating plate, Partially failed heating element segment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and cool the cooker before inspection.
- Check pot flatness: Place the inner pot on a flat countertop and see if it rocks. Replace if warped.
- Clean contact surfaces: Remove any debris from the heating plate and pot bottom.
- Test heating pattern (advanced): With a small amount of water in the pot, run Sauté and observe if boiling is uniform. If heating is clearly uneven with a good pot, the heating element may be failing and should be replaced.
Warning: Do not attempt to bend the inner pot back into shape; this can weaken the metal and cause leaks.
