Loud rattling or chattering noise from the steam release valve during pressure cooking.

Safety first: Keep clear of the steam vent. Do not touch the valve while steam is escaping.

• Check valve position: Verify the steam release handle is firmly set to Sealing.
• Clean valve and seat: After the cooker cools and depressurizes, remove the steam release valve and clean it and its seat on the lid with warm soapy water.
• Clean anti-block shield: Remove and clean the anti-block shield to ensure steam flow is not restricted.
• Inspect for wear: If the valve is loose or its silicone components are worn, replace the steam release valve assembly.

Warning: Do not cover the valve to reduce noise; this is dangerous.
