Possible Causes
Incorrectly seated or damaged sealing ring, Food residue on lid or pot rim, Deformed inner pot rim, Warped lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow pressure to drop before handling the lid.
- Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the sealing ring and clean the ring, lid groove, and inner pot rim thoroughly.
- Inspect sealing ring: Look for cuts, tears, or flattening. Replace if any damage is found.
- Check pot rim: Inspect the top edge of the inner pot for dents or warping. Replace the pot if the rim is not perfectly round.
- Reinstall ring: Fit the sealing ring evenly into the lid groove, pressing it all the way around.
- Test with water: Run a short pressure test with water to verify the leak is resolved.
Warning: Do not use lubricants on the sealing ring; they can degrade the silicone.
