Possible Causes
Cracked inner pot, Liquid spilled into base during filling, Failed internal gasket around heating plate, Loose base screws
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker immediately. Do not use it until the source of the leak is identified.
- Inspect inner pot: Remove and examine the stainless steel inner pot for cracks, pinholes, or seam failures. Replace if any damage is found.
- Check for spills: Look inside the housing for signs of liquid that may have been spilled over the pot edge. Dry thoroughly and avoid overfilling in the future.
- Inspect base gasket: Remove the bottom cover and look for a silicone or rubber gasket around the heating plate or center post. Check for deterioration or misalignment.
- Tighten screws: Ensure all base and heating plate mounting screws are snug to maintain a proper seal.
- Test with water: After drying and reassembly, test with a small amount of water in the pot to confirm no leaks.
Warning: If water has entered the control board area, allow it to dry completely for at least 24 hours before testing, and inspect for corrosion.
