Possible Causes

Stuck or seized safety valve, Pressure sensor reading inconsistent with mechanical valve position, Debris around safety valve seat

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the cooker and ensure it is fully depressurized. Never tamper with a pressurized safety valve.

  • Inspect safety valve: From the lid exterior, locate the safety valve (often a small metal or plastic plug). Ensure it moves slightly when pressed from inside (if accessible) and is not blocked by dried food.
  • Clean lid thoroughly: Remove the inner lid, anti-block shield, and wash all components. Pay attention to the area around the safety valve seat.
  • Do not modify valve: Never glue, plug, or otherwise alter the safety valve. It is a critical safety component.
  • If E13 persists: The safety valve or pressure monitoring circuit may need replacement by a qualified technician.
