Possible Causes
Deformed spring-loaded pressure plate under heating plate, Stuck weight sensor switch, Misaligned inner pot support
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and let it cool.
- Check inner pot fit: Ensure you are using the original Midea inner pot. Third-party pots may not have the correct weight or shape.
- Inspect for rocking: With the pot installed, press down gently and see if it rocks excessively. A jammed pressure plate can cause sensor errors.
- Clean under pot area: Remove the pot and gently press the center of the heating plate. It should move slightly and spring back. Remove any debris around the plate edge.
- If movement is stuck or uneven: The pressure plate or weight sensor assembly may need adjustment or replacement.
