Possible Causes
Overheated heating plate due to dry pot, NTC sensor reading high resistance, Poor contact between inner pot and heating plate causing hot spots
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Check water/food level: Ensure there is sufficient liquid or food in the inner pot. Running the cooker nearly empty can trigger overtemperature errors.
- Inspect inner pot bottom: Look for warping, dents, or carbonized food stuck to the bottom. Clean thoroughly with a non-abrasive sponge. A warped pot may not contact the heating plate evenly.
- Clean heating plate: Wipe the aluminum heating plate with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry completely. Remove any burnt-on residue that could cause localized overheating.
- Re-seat pot and retry: Place the pot back, rotate slightly to ensure full contact, then run a simple program with adequate water (e.g., 2–3 cups). If E2 reappears quickly, the sensor or control board may be faulty.
