Possible Causes
Defective pressure sensor on lid or body, Blocked pressure port or tubing, Loose connector between pressure sensor and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and fully depressurized before any lid inspection.
- Clean pressure port: Locate the small pressure port or channel (often under the lid cover near the steam release). Use a soft brush or toothpick to gently clear any food residue. Do not enlarge the hole.
- Inspect pressure sensor tube (if equipped): Some Midea models use a silicone tube from the lid to a sensor. Check for kinks, blockages, or disconnection. Re-seat the tube firmly.
- Check connectors: If you are comfortable removing the top cover (and warranty allows), verify the pressure sensor plug is firmly seated on the main PCB. Always unplug first.
- Test with water: Reassemble, add water, and run a basic pressure program. If E4 persists, the pressure sensor module likely needs replacement.
