Faulty rotary encoder or buttons, Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose or oxidized control panel connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker before accessing the control panel.
Steps to resolve:
- Dry the panel: If the panel was exposed to steam or spills, allow it to dry completely. You can gently warm the area (not hot) to speed drying.
- Inspect and reseat connectors: Remove the front panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the control panel and main PCB.
- Check for corrosion: Look for green or white deposits on connectors; clean gently with isopropyl alcohol.
- Replace faulty panel: If the encoder jumps values or buttons trigger randomly, replace the entire control panel assembly with a Morphy Richards spare.
