E4 error appears when trying to use pressure-cooking programs; unit may start to heat then stop.

Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and fully depressurized. Move the pressure release valve to the vent position and wait until no steam escapes before opening.

Steps to check:

• Clean the pressure path: Remove the inner lid (if fitted), anti-block shield, and check the steam release valve and float valve for food residue. Clean all small holes with a soft brush or toothpick (do not enlarge them).
• Locate the pressure sensor: On many Morphy Richards multicookers, the pressure sensor is mounted under the lid or on the top chassis with a small silicone tube connecting it to the steam chamber. Remove the top or bottom cover (depending on model) to access it.
• Inspect tubing and port: Ensure the silicone tube is not kinked, blocked, or split. Remove it and blow gently through to confirm it is clear. Clean any condensation or residue from the sensor port.
• Check the connector: Reseat the pressure sensor plug on the control PCB. Look for corrosion or bent pins.
• Replace sensor if needed: If the sensor body is cracked, corroded, or gives erratic readings (requires advanced testing), replace it with a Morphy Richards-compatible pressure sensor module.
