Possible Causes
Food residue trapped under sealing ring or inner lid, Condensation collector not cleaned, Inner pot not thoroughly washed after use
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooker is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
Steps to eliminate odour:
- Deep clean lid: Remove the silicone sealing ring, inner lid, anti-block shield, float valve, and pressure release valve (as per manual). Wash all removable parts in warm soapy water and dry completely.
- Clean condensation collector: Remove and wash the condensation cup and its mounting area.
- Clean inner pot: Soak the inner pot in a solution of warm water and baking soda, then wash and rinse thoroughly.
- Deodorize cycle: Run a short steam cycle with water and a few tablespoons of white vinegar in the pot. Vent and then rinse the pot.
- Store dry: Store the cooker with the lid slightly open or inverted to allow air circulation and prevent odour buildup.
