Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool fully. Do not attempt to run the cooker while E2 is displayed.
Steps to try:
- Cool-down reset: Leave the cooker unplugged with the lid open for at least 30–60 minutes to ensure the sensor and heating plate are at room temperature. Plug back in and test.
- Check for moisture: If the cooker was recently washed or used in a very humid environment, moisture may have entered the sensor well. Remove the inner pot, gently dry the sensor area with a soft cloth, and let it air-dry thoroughly.
- Inspect wiring: If you can access the underside, look for melted insulation or wires touching each other near the sensor. Any visible short requires replacing the sensor or harness.
- Avoid water ingress: Never pour water directly into the base or onto the heating plate. Only clean with a damp cloth.
When to seek service: If E2 appears immediately on power-up even when the unit is cold and dry, the NTC sensor is likely shorted internally or the control board input is damaged. Replacement of the sensor or PCB should be done by a technician.
