Possible Causes

Corrupted firmware on main PCB, Failed microcontroller, Loose display-to-main-board ribbon cable, Power supply fault on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes before attempting any reset.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Disconnect from mains for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect to clear transient faults.
  • Check for moisture: If steam has entered the control panel, allow the unit to dry thoroughly before retrying.
  • Inspect display cable (advanced): If you can safely remove the top cover, check that the flat ribbon cable between the display board and main board is fully inserted and not damaged.

Note: Persistent E9 usually indicates a defective control board. Replacement of the PCB or reprogramming firmware is a workshop-level repair.
