Possible Causes
Insufficient liquid in the inner pot, Inner pot not detected or not seated, Excessive evaporation during long cook, Sensor misreading due to burnt residue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooker and allow it to cool slightly before adding liquid.
Corrective actions:
- Check liquid level: Open the lid and verify there is enough water or sauce. For pressure cooking, follow the Moulinex minimum liquid requirement (often around 200–300 ml).
- Stir and deglaze: Scrape the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon to remove any stuck food that may cause localized overheating.
- Clean the pot bottom: If there is a thick burnt layer, remove the pot and soak it separately. Do not continue cooking with burnt food attached.
- Reseat the pot: Ensure the inner pot is fully seated on the heating plate.
After correcting the issue, restart the program. If "H2O" appears repeatedly with adequate liquid, the sensor calibration may be off and the unit should be checked by service.
